The Afina filter is slightly smaller than Jolie and Serei, about the same as Eskiin, and larger than Canopy. (larger filter = more contact time with water and better filtration). It does have some empty space inside, and ideally it would be tightly packed. With empty room inside the filter, the water tends to form grooves and can pass through the filter without contacting very much of the filter media. The Afina filtered shower head is priced at $129, making it mid-range out of the brand we've reviewed. The replacement filters are around $26 if you subscribe or $29 without subscribing. The Afina replacement filters last for only 2 months, meaning your annual cost for filters is $156 if you're subscribed.

I love the design of the Afina shower head. You can tell from handling it that it's very durable and well built. The amount of inserts in the packaging was a bit overwhelming.. but overall a very good design.

Afina offers 90 day returns. This is the second highest I've seen after Serei. They do pay for return shipping. The Afina showerhead comes with a lifetime warranty, but you must have an active subscription the filter replacements.

Afina is an excellent filtered shower head. I think the price of $129 is very fair for the quality, design and filtration.

My only complaint is that the filters only last 2 months. If they lasted 3 months like every other brand, I would probably rank Afina as the best filtered showerhead on the market. A 2 months lifespan means 6 replacements per year instead of 4, which is more work and money over time.

Afina vs Jolie filtered shower head

When in comes to Afina vs Jolie, it’s kind of a close call.

The Afina is $40 less expensive upfront and the filters are $10 less expensive. But when you take into account the filter lifespan, you’ll spend ~$10 more per year with Afina since you need to replace them every 2 months instead of every 3 months with Jolie.

The quality and filtration is very close. Personally I would choose the Afina over the Jolie.
