Reply- Well water is indeed very different than city water! Since it sits underground, it’s normally harder than municipal supply. Well water doesn’t have chlorine, unless you add it.
City water can still be hard, depending on the source, but it’s usually treated before sending it to your home. It has chlorine and chloramines, disinfectant byproduct etc.
So, the best filtered shower head for well water is the one that can handle hard water best. While no filtered shower head will remove hard water like a dedicated water softener salt tank, the brand that I’ve found to reduce the affects of hard water the best is definitely Serei filtered shower heads.
I’ve tested many brands and they continue to come out on top.
Also- just because your current shower head is a hand held, doesn’t mean you have to stick with hand held. You can easily switch to a stationary model. But if you still prefer hand held, it doesn’t change my recommendation… Serei just came out with a hand held model!
I definitely DON’T recommend is Eskiin.. They use a cheap 15 stage filter that doesn’t do much at all, but charge a premium for it.. Very overpriced…
