Reply- Dermatologists (and all trained medical professionals) are very helpful and needed, but they’re only going to recommend options that they learned about in school. We don’t learn about filtered shower head in medical school unfortunately.
I know it can be confusing since everybody will say something different. I know people who don’t think filtered shower heads are effective. But it’s because they used a cheap one with poor ingredients. You get what you pay for. I’ve been using a high quality one and I’ll never go back.

There are a couple reasons.
First, they never learned about them in medical school. They prescribe different medications and treatments since that’s what they learned about in school.
Second, they like to recommend things that they can sell. Very few, if any, sell filtered shower heads.
This doesn’t mean that filtered shower heads don’t work.
I’ve used one for a long time and it’s been a game changer.
